Yut Kee @ Jalan Dang Wangi, Kuala Lumpur

Another legendary food hunt on this particular Kopitiam which i've been hearing from Netizens. Made another peak hour trip down town to savour it in order to ease my curiosity .....

Under the heat of the fiery sun, i make my way exploring the road to Yut Kee & finally, i found it !!
It was really packed & i was informed to be seated with other customers. The table which i was seated, from the time i was experimenting the foods till the time i left, had seated about 5 pairs of different people on & off.

I just love antique sauce holder

An antique cake display cabinet

Ordered a glass of lime juice with sour plum to quench my thirst !

Chicken chop which was dip in beaten egg & deep fried till golden brown ? More like burnt huh ?! The gravy was yummy but it looks more like am having fried chicken with veggies soup !

Was disappointed by the way they 'dunk' the butter into the Kaya. The toast was nicely brown but i don't taste the 'ying yong' umphh from the combinations of the butter & Kaya. The Kaya was coarse & was kinda mild in taste compared to the silky type which is rich in coconut mik & eggy aroma.

Was so curious to try on this Hailam Meehoon which most of the customers that had shared the table with me would placed an order for it. Well, guess it was the Sambal Belacan with the lime juice that was what they're going after !

I was wondering what  brand of Cocoa Powder they used for the Marble cake tho coz it was so so only ....

The Kaya Swissroll was a let down too. It wasn't fluffy & coarse in texture. I used to buy the one sold by a lady along the shoplots in front of Central Market. Not sure if it's still there .... a real traditional Kaya Swissrolls with fluffy texture & aromatic Kaya spread within. Don't think will be able to get it nowadays.

By 3pm, the crowd slowly lessen.

Overall, this was another exciting food hunt of mine after spending 1.5 hrs there watching people from all walks of life with condition that you have to keep replenishing your food in order to be seated for a longer time. If not, you'll be 'forced' to settle your bill by the most common tricks of clearing your plates & glasses...
