Restoran Sambal Hijau

Watched a local foodie program & it recommeded this restaurant serving varieties of Malay dishes. I love Malay food & since that i knew where the location is, i make an effort to try it out. It was good overall but was disappointed with the rice & the dishes which was not hot or even warm tho was served in food warmers.

The only eatery with big signage in Kampung Sg. Penchala Mosque

Sambal & curry dishes

Assortment of veggies dishes but only a few varieties left

Meat & Seafood dishes

Ulam

Assorted kind of sambal to accompany your rice dish

Grilled fish

Had my favourite ikan keli, paru goreng & veggies. I chose the sambal belacan which was not too spicy & pungent with the dried belacan smell. The sambal hijau was not spicy at all but tasted a bit sweet. Both the sambals are yummy !

Fried chicken & veggie with a kicap dipping which was yummy too.

Teh O Ice Limau ~ a refreshing combination to the rice dish

Tidbits & cookies on sale too
